SriJeevanam, meaning “Respect Life” in Sanskrit, was born from a vision to redefine luxury not as indulgence, but as intention. In a world where leather goods come at the cost of animal life, and most so-called vegan bags are made from plastic-based materials like PU and PVC, we saw an urgent need for a truly leather-free, planet-friendly alternative.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful belief that fashion can be beautiful, functional, and compassionate. This led us to explore reclaimed agricultural waste, regenerative plant fibers, and biodegradable materials that could match the elegance of leather without compromising ethics or sustainability.
At SriJeevanam, we create compassionate handbags and accessories for those who carry their values with them. Each product is crafted from natural fibers like banana bark, hemp, and jute, using processes that are kind to the earth and safe for people. We avoid all forms of leather, plastic, and petroleum-based alternatives.

At the heart of SriJeevanam is Varsha Raghav, a visionary entrepreneur driven by a single, powerful belief that luxury and sustainability can, and must, coexist.
What began as a personal mission quickly evolved into a larger purpose. With no blueprint to follow and limited resources, Varsha ventured into uncharted territory, determined to create fashion that was not just beautiful and functional, but ethical and earth-conscious.
In an industry filled with shortcuts—from plastic-based vegan leather to greenwashing claims—she chose the harder but honest path. She turned to agricultural waste, experimenting with regenerative plant-based materials that are not only biodegradable, but also durable, stylish, and planet-positive.
Her breakthrough came when SriJeevanam was selected for incubation at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, one of India’s leading startup ecosystems. There, her vision was not only nurtured but transformed into a movement shifting the conversation from consumption to conscious creation.
Today, Varsha leads with a rare blend of empathy, grit, and unshakable resolve.
